Unusual nativity scene brings festive cheer to Oxfordshire village
With exactly one week to go until Christmas, an electrical shop in Oxfordshire has come up with a modern take on the traditional Nativity scene.
Corbetts Electrical in Chipping Norton has crafted Mary, Joseph and the Three Wise men out of Henry Hoovers.
They’ve even found a tiny one for baby Jesus.
The display, which has attracted lots of attention in the village, has also featured on local radio and ITV's This Morning.
The owners of the shop came up with the idea in an effort to spread some happiness and joy this Christmas.
Sales Assistant Kelly Cooper said "We had to source the various coloured Henry’s. I asked the boss if we could get the little baby Henry so obviously we purchased and got that one in.
"[There's been] a phenomenal response really. We’ve had so many people walking by taking photos.
"It’s reached the media and socials and things like that. It’s just a nice , spreading a bit of happiness and joy at this time of year."
