Fire rips through Mexican restaurant in Hove

Around thirty firefighters have tackled a blaze at a Mexican restaurant in Hove.

It broke out at Dos Amigos on Portland Road on Saturday, 14 December, 2024.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a kitchen fire in a restaurant with flats above.

At the height of the incident, six fire appliances were in attendance including assistance from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service.

Crews used four breathing apparatus, two high pressure hose reels, one main jet and one covering jet to put the fire out.

All persons were accounted for and the incident was left with UK Power Networks.
