Body of diver recovered off the coast of Hastings

The body of a diver has been recovered off the coast of Hastings.

The diver was reported missing at 1.25pm on Saturday (27 July).

A search was carried out coordinated by HM Coastguard and involved a lifeboat, helicopter and aircraft.

Sussex Police said the body was found on Sunday afternoon (28 July).

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The death will now be referred to a coroner.
