Multiple crews tackle fire at old World of Water site near Southampton

A fire which broke out near Southampton earlier this evening (18 July) is now out.

Multiple have been tackling the blaze at the old World of Water site on Greatbridge Road in Romsey.

Crews from multiple stations, 8 fire engines, plus aerial platform and water carriers were on site.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used jets to control the fire.

Because of the large amount of smoke residents have been advised to close their windows.
