Woman dies and seven arrested after Poole dual carriageway crash

A woman has died and seven people have been arrested following a collision on a dual carriageway in Poole. The woman, who was a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the A3049 close to Tower Park.
The collision happened at about 9.45 on Sunday (12th December) night. The road was closed for many hours while the police carried out an investigation.
Police are describing this incident as a 'Fail to stop collision' - where the occupants of the car left the scene.
The woman who died was in her 20s and lived locally. Her family have been informed.
Five teenagers, including an 18 year-old-woman, and two men aged 20 were arrested on suspicion of driving offences. They all live in Poole.
The police are appealing to any witnesses who have not already spoken to them to get in touch.
