Sussex Paralympian gives local Post Office the gold seal of approval

A post office on the Kent and Sussex border which was saved from closure by its community has been officially re-opened today.

Cutting the ribbon at the  'Shop on the corner' in Groombridge was Paralympic Gold Medalist, Will Bayley, who has a special connection to the village.

It cost the community just the price of a 2nd class stamp per person - per week to save this post office from closure.

The former post mistress retired in May last year, and the community jumped straight in to action.

Today, villagers were joined by Paralympic gold medalist, Will Bayley, who officially opened ' The Shop On The Corner'
