A centenarian and former RAF pilot from Princes Risborough has taken on a fundraising challenge, walking a mile a day for 11 days, to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
Malcolm Cloutt flew planes as part of Air Transport Command and was later stationed in Burma when tragedy struck.
Malcolm was just 19 when the second World War broke out. He served as a co-pilot on Wellington Bombers, transporting parachutists, supplies and wounded soldiers.
In Burma, his whole crew died in an accident and were never found. Malcolm was unwell that day and didn't fly, but it's an event that's had a profound impact.
Tributes to the centenarian adorn the streets of Princes Risborough and Malcolm has become something of a town celebrity, with shopkeepers and locals greeting him on his way. He's now raised more than £2500 for the Royal British Legion.
Malcolm often volunteered at the local school, helping youngsters with reading and passing on his wisdom.
