The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards was broadcast on ITV on Thursday (04/11) and among the amazing people whose remarkable achievements were recognised was the team behind the Oxford Astra Zeneca Covid vaccine.

This was the moment they were surprised with the Special Recognition prize.

Producing a vaccine normally takes 10 years but they worked round the clock to produce it in just 12 months.

He wanted to raise money for the two charities that helped him, when he lost his parents within seven months of one another.
