Police release image of couple after two women were violently assaulted in a Maidstone park

Images have been issued by Police officers in Kent who are investigating a violent assault on two women at Mote Park in Maidstone.

It is alleged the victims were punched, kicked and spat at, after they were approached by a man and woman who they did not know.

The assault happened at around 4pm on the 29th of July 2021, on a footpath close to a lake.

The suspects had been sitting on a bench and were with two children. A woman is reported to have accused the victims of staring at them before she and a man carried out the unprovoked assault.

One of the victims suffered facial injuries and it is reported the man also spat in her face.

The officers investigating the incident are appealing to members of the public for help in identifying two people, who they would like to speak to.
