Man dies in plane crash in Kent

A man has died after a plane the plane he was flying came down in a field in Kent.

Kent Police were called just before 10am on this morning (Friday 10th September) following a report of a concern for a missing light aircraft.

The aircraft was then subsequently found in a field in Tar Pot Lane, Ashford.

One man was declared deceased at the scene by SECAMB.

Initial enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances and officers will be liaising with the Air Accidents Investigation Branch.
