Kent Police hold open day to inform the public and showcase their work
Tony Green reporting for ITV Meridian.
Today fourteen thousand people in Kent got closer to their police force than ever before. They got the chance to see taser gun demos, hostage rescues and police dog shows.
For Chief Constable Alan Pughsley the Kent Police open day goes to the core of policing and comes after a trying time for both police and public.
With so many activities and attractions, visitors agreed it was a fun day out.
Staging events like this doesn't come cheap but is chiefly funded through seizing the proceeds of crime that helped make this open day free for the public.
