Olympic gold medal swimmer gives masterclass to Kent youngsters
From Tokyo to Medway.
Fresh from competing at this summer's Olympic Games, gold medalist Adam Peaty held a swimming masterclass for aspirational youngsters in Medway.
The record breaking breaststroke swimmer gave tips and advice to children aged between 8 and 17 at Medway Sports Centre.
Peaty won the first British gold medal of the summer Olympics in the 100m breaststroke. He also became the first British swimmer to defend an Olympic title.
Today young swimmers were given the benefit of his expertise, but also told how to get a psychological edge by his world class coaching team.
Today's Race Clinic is one of only ten being held across the UK by the Olympian. Howard Doe, Deputy Leader of Medway Council says it fits with their intention to put children at the heart of policy.
Thanks to these classes Peaty's legacy might stretch beyond his World Record breaking career into future generations.
