Swimmers told to evacuate the sea after 'shark' spotted
Swimmers were told to evacuate the water after a "large marine animal" was spotted in the sea off a Dorset beach.
The RNLI put up red flags along the stretch of Boscombe beach as a "precautionary measure" on Wednesday.
Lifeguards used their rescue boat to scan the area before allowing swimmers return to the water half an hour later.
The RNLI said it recommends swimmers "always visit a lifeguarded beach" and "report any concerning marine wildlife to the lifeguards on duty".
