Loved by fans of Liverpool, Brighton, Southampton and Bournemouth - Jimmy Case is a football legend. Winner of 3 European Cups and 4 League Titles. But earlier this year he was hospitalised with Covid.
He spoke exclusively to ITV Meridian from his hospital bed at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, in March.
Jimmy says it's taken him a few months to recover, but he's now been given the all-clear.
During his recuperation Jimmy has been building barn owl boxes for the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust in Fordingbridge.
His daughter Jodie works for the charity and says the boxes that went out earlier this year are already proving successful.
The Owl Box initiative is run by the GWCT after they received a grant of £123,700 from the government’s Green Recovery Challenge Fund.
Since it began in December, GWCT conservation scientists have been working with 100 farms to inspire farmers and communities to work for the conservation of the iconic barn owl.
