Body found in search for missing man at Ardingly Reservoir

Police searching for a missing man at Ardingly Reservoir in West Sussex have found a body.

Police were called just after 6pm on Sunday (18/07), when a swimmer disappeared while out with friends in the water.

An extensive rescue search was launched that evening and a body was recovered from the water on Monday (19/07) afternoon.

While formal identification has yet to take place, officers believe it to be that of the missing 49-year-old man.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
