Now, here's a story to put a smile on your face.

An 81 year old lady from Newbury has taken to sitting by the roadside and giving out free smiles to all motorists passing by.

Kathleen Watson says she was fed up of all the misery in the news, and decided to do something about it.

What's in a smile? Well according to Kathleen Watson, a former supervisor for the McDougall's company in Reading, it's all about spreading a little happiness.

Kathleen spends hours each day, by a junction near Crookham Common, sending out free smiles far and wide.

She says it makes her day, as much as everyone else's.
