  • Video round-up by reporter Richard Slee of the Black Lives Matter protests taking place today in the South, South East and Thames Valley:

In towns and cities across the South, thousands of people came together to protest over the killing of George Floyd in America.

Demonstrators marched the streets in Southampton, Oxford and Bournemouth as part of the Black Lives Matter campaign.

The Bournemouth MP Tobias Ellwood tweeted his support to a rally taking place in Westminster on Wednesday afternoon.

Yesterday, many marched through Bournemouth town centre for a peaceful protest to mark Black Out Tuesday.

Demonstrators met in the town's square and gardens, holding up signs which some read 'Black Lives Matter' and 'Justice for George'.
