Firefighters are continuing to tackle a blaze at a waste and recycling centre in Sevenoaks.

Six engines were called to the Dunbrik HWRC on Main Road just after 4.30 this morning.

Four fire engines and a bulk water carrier remain at the scene, and crews are using main jets to extinguish the fire, which broke out in a single storey commercial building.

Those who are living or working in the area are still being advised to keep windows and doors closed as a precaution due to smoke.

Police have closed the A25 at Sundridge back to the M25 as they insist with the emergency.

Kent County Council has said the site will remain closed for several days- those who had booked a visit in the next few days will be contacted.

No casualties have been reported and the cause is not yet known.
