Testing centre opens for NHS staff and key workers in Poole
NHS staff and key workers in Dorset now have access to a local coronavirus testing site.
A drive-through testing centre has opened at the Creekmoor park and ride in Poole.
It has the capacity to test thousands of NHS staff and key workers.
It is one of 29 sites across the country operating on an appointment-only basis.
Members of the public have been asked not to attend.
Meanwhile, the first testing centre to open in Kent was in Dover, where patients are assessed and the most seriously ill transferred straight to hospital.
Another has been set up at the Amex stadium which is home to Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club.
A new pop-up site for 'hard to reach' areas has been set up and is being run by the army in Salisbury.
On the Isle of Wight a mobile testing facility has been in operation since April 25 at the Medina Leisure Centre car park in Newport, although it will shut at the end of the day on April 27.
