Brighton's first electric Hackney Cab takes to the streets to tackle emissions

Brighton's first electric Hackney Carriage has taken to the streets as part of council plans to reduce emissions in the city.

It's only the second electric taxi to registered in Brighton & Hove.

The cab can run up to 60-80 miles on a single charge and can run as a hybrid to extend its range to almost 400 miles.

The council is soon to instal four rapid charging points in the city and is also investing in 200 on street chargers.
