Police hunt two men after Rolex armed robbery in Eastbourne

Police are trying to trace two men after an armed robbery at Brufords jewellers in Eastbourne.

It happened at Brufords jewellers in The Beacon Shopping Centre, Eastbourne on the morning of Sunday, 26th January.

Fifteen Rolex watches with an estimated value between £100,000 and £150,000 were stolen.

Four men all wearing masks covering their faces, and one man was reported to be carrying a small handheld pick axe or hammer, entered the premises around 10am.

Police want to locate Kieran Thomas (pictured above), aged 40, of Carshalton, Surrey.

Officers also wish to identify a fourth man (pictured below) following the robbery and are appealing to anyone who knows him to come forward.

A search of the area, assisted by armed police officers and the police helicopter, was conducted and two men were arrested on the Cuckoo trail near Station Road.

Gavin Walter, 41, of Westminster Road, Sutton, and Paul Mitchell of Orchard Avenue, Mitcham were both charged with robbery and remanded in custody. The pair are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 25 February.

A further two men are wanted in connection with the robbery.
