Wildlife enthusiasts take part in this year's 'Big Garden Birdwatch'
Video report by ITV Meridian's Malcolm Shaw
Wildlife enthusiasts in Sussex have been taking part in this year's 'Big Garden Birdwatch', by counting how many species they see in an hour.
The national event this weekend helps to highlight which birds are doing well and which need more help.
This Sunday, people went along to Pulborough Brooks nature reserve in Horsham, to find the bird feeders buzzing.
However the RSPB say it's just as important if people aren't able to spot any birds within the hour.
Song Thrushes, House Sparrows and Starlings have declined in recent years, while Goldfinches are much more common.
The Big Garden Birdwatch gives conservationists a chance to help the species which are struggling before it's too late.
