Teenager who died following stabbing in Thornhill named
A 17-year-old boy who died following a stabbing in Hampshire has been named by police.
James Laurie from Southampton died from his injuries following the incident in the Thornhill area on Sunday January 19.
A 15-year-old boy from Andover has been charged with murder.
Police were called to the Thornhill area of Southampton at 6.15am on Sunday following reports of an assault in Lindsay Road.
James Laurie was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but police confirmed he had died from his injuries.
A team of detectives, specialist search officers and neighbourhood officers are working on the investigation.
James's parents have paid tribute to him.
Police will be conducting extra patrols in the area during the investigation.
