Recruitment day at South Central Ambulance Service

The South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) has launched a recruitment drive in a bid to fill dozens of roles.

There is a major shortage of paramedics nationwide - but the ambulance service which provides emergency care for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire also needs call handlers and support staff.

As well as vacancies for clinical and non-clinical roles at the Trust's headquarters in Bicester. SCAS is recruiting for other jobs available at ambulance stations across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.

For her report below, Charlotte Briere-Edney spoke to a number of interested job seekers and people from the South Central Ambulance Service including Melanie Saunders, HR Director; Paramedic, Elliot Chiringirian; and Locality Manager, Joanna McPartlane.
