Vandals destroy primary school's converted bus in Portslade
Vandals have destroyed a converted bus at a primary school in Portslade in Sussex.
The windows of the bus at St Nicolas Primary School in Locks Hill were smashed and equipment was stolen on Saturday afternoon.
It was donated by the Brighton and Hove Bus Company after it was damaged beyond repair following a fire along the Old Steine due to an electrical fault.
Parents, pupils and staff gave up hours of their spare time to renovate the bus.
The school held an assembly on Tuesday morning, the first day back after the festive break, for pupils to talk about what happened.
Headmaster Andy Richbell said the children were "angry, upset, sad" and that they "didn't understand why it had happened".
