A Christmas miracle! Cat survives 4,000 miles in container

They say cats have nine lives. One adventurous moggy certainly used up one of them after surviving a journey in a shipping container all the way from Israel to Southampton.

Izzy smuggled herself on board the boat, and somehow survived for 12 days with no food or water, for the 4,000-mile journey. She's now being cared for at a cat adoption centre near Newbury, run by Cats Protection.
