Outbreak of norovirus at Royal Berkshire Hospital
Four wards have closed at a Reading hospital following a reported outbreak of norovirus.
Six patients at the Royal Berkshire Hospital have tested positive and there are five further suspected cases currently being investigated.
People are being warned to stay away from the hospital.
Fred Dinenage spoke to Dom Hardy, the Chief Operating Officer from the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
The hospital is asking people who have symptoms of the sickness bug, not to go to the hospital for at least 48 hours after their symptoms have gone.
Royal Berkshire Hospital said it will keep the public updated via their website and social media.
What is norovirus?
Norovirus is a stomach bug, also known as the 'winter vomiting bug'.
