Pebbles memorial commemorates lost fishermen from Rye

It was a disaster which took the lives of almost all the adult fishing population of an East Sussex village.

To remember the 17 men who died when the Mary Stanford sunk in 1928, a memorial made up of 900 pebbles - painted by the community - has been unveiled at Rye Harbour.
