Thousands of pounds worth of tools stolen from Hampshire builder's van
A builder from Hampshire has been left devastated after thousands of pounds worth of tools were stolen from his van.
Derek Kent, from Lee on the Solent near Gosport, had parked outside his own home when the thief struck early on Monday morning (04/11).
The incident means he's now out of pocket - and losing work - but believes other tradesmen are being targeted around the south.

It's midnight and this man appears to be taking a lot of interest in Derek Kent's van parked outside his home.
Derek left his van under the streetlight because of work going on in his driveway, but he says that at 1am the streetlights switch off, and that's when the thief struck.
To replace the tools stolen will cost more than three thousand pounds.

Derek's wife Elaine says she's noticed a recent increase in crime in the area, which she thinks is because the street lights are now turned off to save money.
One view is that a gang is now targeting this area.
