Couple from Oxfordshire among the dead as car crashes off bridge in South Africa
A couple from Oxfordshire have been killed when their car plunged off a bridge into a river in South Africa.
Susanna and Chris Naylor, from Burford, where on holiday with another couple when the crash happened at the Swarkskop Bridge in Port Elizabeth.
Miranda Harris died in the crash.
Her husband Peter survived and is in hospital in a stable condition.
The two couples were in the country with Christian charity A Rocha, founded by Mr and Mrs Harris in the early 1980s.
Mr Naylor, who worked as an executive director of A Rocha international, co-founded A Rocha Lebanon with Sarah in 1996.
The charity said the accident has left a "huge and irreplaceable hole."
In recent years, Mrs Naylor was head of science at Christ Church Cathedral school.
The Foreign Office has confirmed it is supporting the families of the victims and that its staff are in contact with South African authorities.
