WATCH: Sarah Saunders reports on the trial of Andrew Griggs
A man who murdered his pregnant wife 20 years ago has been jailed for life.
Mother-of-three Debbie Griggs disappeared without a trace on 5 May 1999 and hasn't been seen since.
57-year-old Andrew Griggs was found guilty of her murder on Monday and has now been jailed with a minimum term of 20 years.
Mr Justice Robin Spencer, sentencing Griggs at Canterbury Crown Court, said that Griggs had told "lie after lie" throughout the trial.
The judge told Griggs he believed he'd disposed of her body at sea.
Mr Justice Spencer told the court that he had to sentence Griggs inline with the law that was in place at the time of the killing.
Detective Chief Inspector Kaye Bayebrooke of Kent Police said they were "happy that the family have finally got some sort of closure."
