Alex Lewis returns from an Ethiopian challenge
A man from Hampshire has returned from his latest challenge with a fascinating story of endurance and adventure.
Back in November 2013, Alex Lewis from Stockbridge was rushed to hospital in Winchester with a rare infection. The infection claimed all of his limbs and left him needing major reconstructive surgery on his face.
Despite numerous operations and physical pain, the 39-year-old has spent the last few years using his experiences to raise money and help disabled people.
In his latest challenge - he has scaled Ethiopia's highest mountain with one of the country's top athletes. Alex visited the ITV Meridian studios for an interview with presenters Fred Dinenage and Sangeeta Bhabra.
