Southampton Airport is due to submit its plans for expansion for approval.

Planners at Eastleigh Borough Council will consider whether to give the scheme the go ahead.

Bosses believe the plan will allow the airport to double passenger numbers over the next five to 10 years.

That could see as many as three million people flying from the airport annually.

Some residents have raised concerns about the environmental impact of an increase in flights, as well as worries over noise pollution.
