RIBA Awards 2019: Nithurst Farm

This is the third in our series which looks inside some of the most experimental and creative homes in the ITV Meridian region.
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) prize is given to buildings that go beyond architecture and offer something unique. The four buildings featured in our pieces are among several showcased in the RIBA Regional Awards 2019.
Nithurst Farm is in the heart of the South Downs National Park and has won the RIBA Building of the Year award.
The rooms are clad floor to ceiling in concrete and their scale was inspired by medieval great halls.
The enormous glass windows bring the outside in, showcasing wonderful views of the South Downs.
At the top of the tower are two identical master bedrooms offering peace and tranquility.
Owner and architect Adam Richards and his wife Jessica Richards say they are "happier than they have ever been" in the house and feel "connected to nature".
