Historic win for AFC Bournemouth over Southampton FC at St Mary's Stadium

AFC Bournemouth have beaten Southampton FC 3-1 to secure a first ever victory at St Mary's Stadium. The win means the Cherries move into third place in the Premier League before the weekend's other matches.

Bournemouth's goals came from Nathan Ake, Harry Wilson and Callum Wilson. Southampton's James Ward-Prowse scored his side's only goal of the game from the penalty spot.

Southampton manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl, blamed a poor first half for his side's defeat. Bournemouth manager, Eddie Howe, thanked fans following his team's historic win.
