Reading drop in centre offering pamper session for the homeless is a 'blessing', says visitor

A drop in centre in Reading offering pamper sessions to homeless people has been described a 'blessing' by centre users.

The project at St Saviours Church offers hair cuts and manicures to visitors, offering them "a bit of normality" and "a bit of kindness."

Jason became homeless after his relationship broke several years ago.

He's stayed in towns and cities across the south and the Thames valley.

Now he's in Reading trying to get back on his feet and he says the project is "a brilliant idea."

It's the second time that the event has been held at the centre.

The pamper sessions are run by volunteers, offering luxury and care that is often out of reach.
