AAIB investigates after two killed in light aircraft crash

The fatal incident happened on Saturday afternoon

Two people have died after light aircraft crashed into a field near Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.

Thames Valley Police were called to the field in the Stonor area at about 2.10pm on Saturday 24th August. The two people in the aircraft were a pilot and a passenger. Their next of kin have been informed. Detectives say that no-one on the ground was injured in the crash.

Emergency teams from the fire service and the ambulance service were also deployed to the scene. Thames Valley Police said that the Air Accidents Investigation Branch has been told about the crash.
