Paraglider rescued after getting stuck 40ft up tree

A paraglider has been rescued after getting stuck 40ft up a tree in Wiltshire.

Pewsey Fire Station crew, alongside Marlborough, Ludgershall, TrowbridgeFire and Chippenham crews came to rescue the paraglider yesterday afternoon.

The paraglider used the whatthreewords app, where each 3m square in the world has been given a unique three word address, in order to help emergency services find out where he was when he called 999.

Luckily it was not long before crews helped to lower him down to safety.
