New CCTV released in search for missing Georgina Gharsallah
New CCTV released by Sussex Police
Police have released new CCTV footage in the search for missing woman Georgina Gharsallah from Worthing.
Sussex Police believe the woman in new footage could be missing Georgina, who went missing on 7th March 2018.
The footage shows two women walking along Chapel Road in Worthing around 4pm on the day the 31-year-old went missing.
Georgina was last seen in March last year on Clifton Road.
Police are hoping the new footage will jog people's memories who were in the area at the time of her disappearance on that Wednesday afternoon.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Andy Wolstenholme says he is considering the possibility that Georgina may have come to harm.
He says: "A number of vital enquires to test ‘proof of life’ have been conducted but to date, none of these have been able to conclusively show that Georgina is alive. While Sussex Police continue to look for Georgina, and hope above all else that we can find her safe and well, I have taken the decision to record her disappearance as a homicide."
Detectives have been investigating her disappearance for 18 months, saying that the possibility she has come to harm is the result of a "detailed and lengthy investigation".
However Sussex Police says the recording of this crime does not mean that they have stopped looking for Georgina and will continue to investigate all "credible and reasonable lines of enquiry".
