Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following an assault in a Buckinghamshire cemetery, which led to a stabbing.

A man in his thirties was walking in Chesham cemetery, when he encountered two men and a woman. There was an argument between them which escalated.

The victim, the man in his thirties, ran away and was chased by one of the men. He fell to the floor and was then stabbed in the buttock. He was taken to hospital where he remains with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Nicholas Widdison, of Force CID based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We are investigating this assault in which a man was stabbed."

“We have arrested three people in connection with this incident, but we are asking the public to come forward if they have information that could assist our investigation."

“We would ask anyone who witnessed the assault or saw two men and a woman in Chesham cemetery shortly before 7.40pm on Wednesday to please get in touch.”
