Video shows full extent of scaffolding collapse
Scaffolding has collapsed in Reading. It happened on the Station Hill demolition site at 1130 on Thursday morning.
Firefighters used thermal imaging equipment to search for anyone who might be trapped.
Pictures showed a section of scaffolding surrounding a large building had collapsed in Garrard Street, covering a section of road.
Thames Valley Police advised people to avoid the area, with Garrards Street closed in both directions and congestion in Greyfriars Road.
