Man jailed for sexually assaulting two women in a human pyramid at a festival
A man has been jailed for 20 months for sexually assaulting two women as they performed a human pyramid at the Rugby 7s Festival event in Bournemouth in May.
34-year-old Alan Bafli from Dagenham in Essex pleaded guilty to assault by penetration and sexual assault. He has also been placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
The victims, aged in their 30s, were among a group of eight woman who decided to try and create a human pyramid.
As they attempted the move, one of the victims asked a man who was stood nearby to help her. As he did, the victim was sexually assaulted.
The second victim was also sexually assaulted as she climbed down from the pyramid. She raised the alarm with a security guard.
