Investigation into cause of hotel fire underway in Sussex
An investigation is underway into cause of fire at a historic hotel in Rye, Sussex.
Guests had to leave the building when flames tore through the roof of the building.

Eight fire crews tackled a blaze in the roof at the George Hotel in Rye. It's thought to have started around 4.30am in the four floor building. East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were advising people to avoid the area.
Roger & Penny Perrin were at the hotel celebrating their 52nd wedding anniversary. They said they initially thought it was a false alarm.
