A post box in Southampton will be painted white and gold to celebrate England's historic win in the Cricket World Cup.

England triumphed over New Zealand in the final ball of a super over, a tiebreaker brought after the original 50 over final was tied.

Their win now means that the England Men's and Women's side both hold their world cups concurrently.

To celebrate, Royal Mail are painting a single post box in each of the cities that hosted world cup cricket

The Hampshire Bowl in Southampton hosted 5 matches, including England's thrashing of the West Indies.

It's not yet known where the postbox in Southampton will be located.

The design will feature the box in white, with a gold stumps, bat and ball.

They'll be in place for 3 months, with a gold plaque installed after that.

Royal Mail painted some post boxes gold in 2012, celebrating the home town of each Team GB gold medal winner.
