Man from Littlehampton has more than £100 worth of vegetables stolen from his allotment

A pensioner from Littlehampton say he was left on the verge of tears after vegetables he grew to feed himself and his family were stolen.

More than a hundred pounds worth of vegetables were stolen from Bill Mason's allotment.

Bill has been working on the same plot for 4-5 hours a day since 1974, but he's never seen anything like this.

Bill has yet to replant after the crops were stolen

He believes that he was targeted by thieves wanting to sell on his produce, rather than vandals.

He says at least £130 was stolen.

Bill is now calling for security cameras to be installed at the site.

The allotment's owners, Littlehampton Town Council, say they're now looking at ways to make the site more secure.
