Investigation launched after New Forest farm buildings destroyed by fire
An investigation has been launched into the cause of a barn fire in the New Forest, which destroyed buildings and 350 tons of hay and straw.
Crews were called to Hatchet Lane in Beaulieu shortly after 9.15pm on Friday night.
Despite their efforts the blaze was already well established, and the barn could not be saved.
Crews and engines rotated throughout the night and managed to prevent the fire spreading further, with the stop message finally coming in at 7.15am on Saturday.
No one was reported injured during the incident and Hampshire Fire and Rescue are now investigating the cause of the fire.
