Pride of Britain Awards celebrate 20 years
It's 20 years this year since the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards were born - and the rest, as they say, is history.
Since then it's become one of the showbiz highlights of the year as international celebrities turn out to pay tribute to so-called "ordinary people". Let's look back on 20 years of the 'best of British'.
Carol Vorderman has hosted the awards for 20 years - here, she tells us why you should you nominate someone you know to be this year's ITV Meridian Fundraiser of the Year.
We're looking for a fantastic fundraiser to represent our region at this year's awards in London later in the year. They could even go on to be crowned overall National Fundraiser.
If you know someone who deserves that title, you can nominate them by clicking here. You'll also find nomination forms in selected TSB branches or the Daily Mirror newspaper.
This award is for an individual only and the person you nominate must be aged 16 or over and be available to be filmed and have their story told on ITV regional news. If you or your nominee are under the age of 18 please get permission from a parent or guardian before you nominate.
Nominations are open now and close at 1159pm on Friday 30th of August 2019. Full terms and conditions can be found here.
