Drugs gang jailed for conspiracy to supply £2 million pounds of cannabis

Three men have been jailed at Southampton Crown Court, following an operation by Hampshire Police's Serious and Organised Crime Unit. The trio were arrested in December 2018 on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cannabis after they were found transporting cannabis across the UK.

Mariusz Musial age 31, Orchard Mead, Waterlooville was sentenced to five years. Marcin Wielgus, aged 42, of Waterhouse Street, Hertfordshire was sentenced to three years and six months. Wojceich Michalski, age 54, Gilderdale, Luton was sentenced to 21 months. They all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply cannabis earlier this year.

Police said Michalski was found to be driving a vehicle containing 55kg of cannabis on the M1 in Buckinghamshire on December 3rd.

Musial and Wielgus were linked to a 170kg of cannabis loaded in a van near Coalville in Leicestershire which was recovered by officers from the Serious and Organised Unit on December 4.

The drugs combined came to a street value of £2.25million.
