Tilbury mum of murdered teenager backs Helen's Law
The mother of murdered teenager Danielle Jones says the killer, who is approaching possible parole, should stay behind bars for life unless he reveals where her body is.
Danielle, from Tilbury, was last seen leaving home for school 18 years ago.
Her uncle Stuart Campbell was convicted of murder the following year.
Danielle's mother is now backing a campaign for 'whole life' sentences for killers who refuse to reveal the location of victims' bodies.
15-year-old daughter Danielle left home in Tilbury to catch the school bus, and disappeared.
The following year her uncle Stuart Campbell was convicted of murder after her blood-stained clothing was found at his home.
In two years he could be released from prison.
But Linda says he should say behind bars for life unless he reveals the location of her body.
Linda is backing the campaign for Helen's Law, named after murder victim Helen McCourt, making killers ineligible for parole if they do not tell police where they've hidden the body of a victim.
The petition calling for Helen's Law has more than 600,000 signatures - and high-level government support.
Two years ago fresh information about the Danielle Jones case led to a search of garages in Grays but nothing was found.
In all, more than 1,500 locations have been searched in Essex and Kent.
Now her mother hopes the approach of potential parole, and accelerating support for Helen's Law, will force Stuart Campbell to break his silence.
