Ram raid thieves have ripped a cash machine out of the wall of a supermarket in Didcot.

The raid happened at around 2.30am this morning at the Co-Op shop in Ladygrove.

The remains of the ATM machine lay on the ground after it was ripped from the wall of the supermarket.

Thames Valley Police officers have been at the scene trying to piece together exactly what had happened.

The co-op was closed for business and passing residents were shocked by the hole in the wall.

It is the latest in a series of thefts.

In March this year a forklift truck was used to rip a machine from the wall of a supermarket in Kingston Bagpuize in the early hours of the morning.

Cash was taken and the digger was dumped in the store car park.

Another ram raid took place back in March this year in Kingston Bagpuize.

No arrests have been made in connection with the most recent ram raid, however the police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.
